JOB SUMMARY

United Finishes is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Painter to join our production team. This role involves preparing and painting pre-made cabinets to meet high-quality standards. The ideal candidate has experience in spray painting, surface preparation, and finish work in a manufacturing or cabinetry environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Prepare surfaces of pre-made cabinets for painting (sanding, filling, cleaning, etc.)
• Apply primers, sealers, and top coats using HVLP or other spray systems
• Ensure consistent, even finishes on all cabinet surfaces
• Mix and match paint colors and finishes as needed
• Inspect finished cabinets for quality control and touch up as needed
• Maintain and clean painting equipment and spray booth
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work closely with the production team to meet deadlines and quality standards
  
  

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. • 1+ years of experience in cabinet painting or furniture finishing (preferred)
• Familiarity with spray painting tools and techniques (HVLP, airless, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Knowledge of basic wood types and finishes (preferred)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
