- Hours: Full Time | Monday-Friday | Days
The Nursing Administrator is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing clinical operations, staff management, compliance, and quality of care at our PPEC center. You’ll ensure the delivery of compassionate, safe, and effective nursing services, while upholding the mission and values of Pediatric Health Choice.
- Lead, coach, and supervise all nursing and direct care staff.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels and skill mix based on census and patient acuity.
- Conduct clinical assessments and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans.
- Oversee the admission and discharge process, ensuring clinical documentation is complete and compliant.
- Monitor and ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state (DHH), and local regulations, including infection control and safety standards.
- Prepare for and lead site visits, audits, and licensing inspections.
- Manage incident reporting and follow-up investigations, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
- Coordinate in-services, clinical competencies, and continuing education for staff.
- Partner with families and physicians to ensure consistent, family-centered care and effective communication.
- Participate in budget planning, supply management, and center operations.
- Serve as a liaison with medical professionals, case managers, and external providers.
- Lead quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) efforts.
- Current RN license in Louisiana (unencumbered and active).
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of pediatric nursing experience; PPEC, PICU/NICU, pediatric home health, or complex care preferred.
- 2+ years of supervisory/management experience in a healthcare or pediatric setting.
- Knowledge of PPEC regulations, Medicaid guidelines, and applicable healthcare laws strongly preferred.
- Experience in developing and evaluating care plans and clinical documentation.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Proficient in EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Monday–Friday daytime hours – no weekends or holidays!
