The YMCA of Central Texas is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team of professionals as a Dance Instructor for our recreational dance program at the CHASCO and Hutto Family YMCAs.
The Dance Instructor will be responsible for teaching dance to children 2 to 12 years old. Applicant must have knowledge of a variety of dance styles; ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop are all classes that will be offered at our facility. Applicants should have a minimum of 12 months experience and be committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children!
We are hiring for the following shifts: Monday 3:50-7pm, Wednesday 10:30am-1:45pm and 3:50-7pm, Saturday 9:45am-12:45pm

Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Coach CHASCO and Hutto YMCA dance classes
- Oversee daily class routines, attendance and schedules
- Work with Dance Specialist to coordinate and implement Winter and Spring dance recitals
- Provide coaching and leadership to all participants
- Establish and implement ongoing communication with families
- Administer skills progression testing and monitoring
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Minimum of 12 months experience in teaching young children ballet, tap, jazz and/or hip hop
- Be friendly, courteous, enthusiastic, and possess a cooperative attitude
- Have a general knowledge of fitness and wellness
- Uphold the YMCAs core values of caring, honesty, responsibility, respect, and faith
- Individual must be able to pass reference check, pre-employment drug screen, sex-offender check, and criminal history check
