KL Wood and Company LLC is seeking a hands-on, detail-driven Mechanic / Shop Foreman to take the lead in maintaining our vital fleet of trucks and off-road construction equipment. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, diagnose, and repair diesel trucks, trailers, and off-road construction equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal fleet condition.
• Prioritize and schedule repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
• Monitor equipment for compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Order replacement parts, manage shop inventory, and coordinate supplier relationships.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance logs, and service documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers and field crews to coordinate equipment availability.
• Lead shop operations and mentor support personnel as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• 5+ years of diesel mechanic experience; construction equipment background preferred.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, diagnostics tools, and heavy machinery systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead maintenance operations and manage work priorities.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL is a plus.
• Proficient in service documentation and familiar with fleet tracking or maintenance software.
• Self-starter with excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
