Daily And Monthly Responsibilities
Sales & Client Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with DOTs, municipalities, general contractors, and private developers
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline aligned with the company’s revenue targets and strategic priorities
- Lead the end-to-end sales process: prospecting, qualifying leads, preparing proposals, negotiating, and closing deals
- Attend pre-bid meetings, industry events, and conferences to network and generate leads
- Collaborate with estimators and project managers to respond to RFPs and RFQs
- Oversee the preparation of professional proposals, bid documents, and capability presentations
- Ensure pricing and scope align with client needs and company profitability goals
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting the traffic control and pavement markings market
- Develop and recommend market entry strategies for underserved regions or service lines
- Support long-term business planning with data-driven insights and market analysis
- Work cross-functionally with operations, estimating, and leadership teams to ensure alignment on business goals
- Maintain accurate CRM records and prepare weekly/monthly reports on sales activity, opportunities, and forecasts
- Participate in team strategy meetings and EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) meetings as needed
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or estimating within construction or a related industry
- Proven success in B2B or government contracting sales
- Strong understanding of DOT specifications, construction bidding processes, and public infrastructure projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including client presentations
- Proficiency with CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and proposal platforms
- Experience in traffic control, pavement marking, or roadway construction
- Familiarity with construction estimating software (e.g., B2W, HeavyBid)
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Marketing, or related field
