We are seeking an experienced and proactive Paralegal to provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to our General Counsel. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience focused on contract review, with a strong preference for candidates familiar with construction contracts. Additional experience reviewing ownership and encumbrance (O&E) reports and preparing mechanic’s liens is highly desirable

Responsibilities:

  • Review, draft, and revise a wide range of contracts, including construction contracts, subcontracts, vendor agreements, NDAs, and service agreements.
  • Conduct analysis of Ownership & Encumbrance (O&E) reports and assist in identifying potential issues affecting property rights.
  • Draft and file mechanic’s liens and assist with related documentation and tracking.
  • Support General Counsel with legal research, summarizing findings, and preparing reports or correspondence.
  • Maintain and organize contract files and legal document databases.
  • Track contract deadlines and renewal timelines to ensure timely review and action.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Operations, Project Management, and Finance, to ensure contract compliance and efficient coordination.
  • Provide assistance on litigation support, investigations, and other legal matters as requested.
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive company and legal information.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with reviewing O&E reports and drafting mechanic’s liens.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Construction industry knowledge or background. (Preferred)
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented. (Preferred)
  • Highly reliable, discreet, and professional. (Preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team-oriented mindset. (Preferred)

Education and Experience:

  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required; Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of paralegal experience, with a focus on contract review. Prior experience with construction contracts strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Office-based work with varying temperatures.
  • Occasional travel to jobsites with fluctuations in weather.

Job Type: Full-time, non-exempt

Salary: starting at $80,000; Based on experience
