This position is responsible for monitoring and maintaining inventory levels to meet customer demand. Develops and implements inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Analyzes inventory data, identifies discrepancies, and implements corrective actions. Works closely with procurement and logistics teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts. Conducts regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills are essential for this role.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, typical business hours

Pay: $68,500/yr

Responsibilities

Support the production operation through the audit, financial tracking, and control of physical movement of inventories into, within, and outside the production Plant

Ensure the accurate control of inventory of raw material, packaging material, sub-assembly, and finished good products at the AFNA facility and outside warehouses.

Ensure system data (JDE) matches the actual physical inventory movement to guarantee data integrity, visibility, and financial reporting accuracy to meet MRP requirements.

Identify inventory variances and perform the necessary system material adjustments to maintain data accuracy. Exercise independent judgment to reconcile with PI

Understand and maintain food industry First Expired First Out (FEFO) standards and practices.

Communicate and relay inventory and FEFO issues to plant personnel. Promote and maintain a cooperative work environment.

Ensure all inventory adjustment transactions are accurate and completed in a timely manner.

Report notable variances, disposals, and adjustments to Plant Management

Monitor and report materials approaching expiration. Isolate and remove expired materials from inventory rotation to ensure process integrity and food safety.

Ensure Plant quality control processes are followed by auditing material processes and reporting minor and major deviations to management.

Change or modify material processes to maintain or improve quality and productivity within the Plant.

Ensure accurate and timely posting of all materials and labor hours in JDE

Ensure the JDE work order data is accurate and check against production paperwork and physical inventory.

Confirm, verify, and post accurate actual labor and line hours by item as reported by production

Independently monitor, investigate, and resolve inventory and costing variances and process problems. Report the issues and potential impact(s) to Management.

Data Integrity and Reporting

Schedule, perform, and report audit results for quarterly/yearly physical inventory counts.

Maintain proper documentation retention for all inventory disposals and necessary adjustments to satisfy internal and external regulatory requirements.

Purchasing, Corporate, And Other Internal Customer And JDE Support

Review receiving paperwork for all OJ purchase orders and receive them in JDE

Work cross functionally with purchasing on a daily basis to ensure transfers are accurate, and correct and investigate any discrepancies between the plant and outside warehouses

Work cross functionally with corporate inventory control to reconcile finished good inventory and identify and correct Finished Good lot and quantity discrepancies at AFNA locations and 3

party warehouses

Support production groups in weekly production improvement meetings

Review and verify results of daily cycle count activities

Qualifications

Perform other related job duties and projects as assigned.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • 2-4 years of experienceÂ
  • Bachelor's degree or at least five years related experience and/or training, certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
