Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing, the Associate Product Manager will be responsible for marketing support within the Lower Body Bracing and Supports portfolio, including Knee, Hip, and Lower Extremity product lines. You will work with Sr. Product Managers, project teams, sales, and customers to develop new products and marketing programs. Associate Product Managers are responsible for supporting tactical execution relating to Lower Body product lines, including developing materials and following processes required for new product development and launch, product line maintenance, promotions and messaging, production planning, and field sales tools.

Key Responsibilities

Product development

  • Identifies new product opportunities by assessing portfolio gaps, competitive landscape, and capturing VOC
  • Utilizes market research to properly inform strategy for product commercialization
  • Develops business cases and presents to senior leadership team
  • Manages commercialization of newly developed products by developing marketing collateral and promotional strategies

Product line management and strategy

  • Acts as subject matter and product expert for assigned projects/products
  • Supports program development initiatives by providing insights related to VOC and market trends
  • Leverages data and competitive insights to continuously evolve our understanding of the customer, the competition, market and trends
  • Assess market and competitive landscape to inform strategic planning process
  • Assists in monthly business updates and annual strategic planning process

Promotions and channel support

  • Utilizes various communication channels to promote, position, and message to all customer stakeholders
  • Develops marketing collateral
  • Utilizes MEX process to develop customer segmentation, messaging, and tactics to improve marketing effectiveness
  • Attends and supports industry events

Other

  • Special projects, such as researching trends, developing reports, and other projects as required from time to time.

Minimum Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree in Marketing, Engineering, Athletic Training, or related field
  • 2+ years experience in sales, product management, or marketing

Travel Requirements

  • This role requires travel by car and plane
  • Up to 35% annual travel

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience in medical device, orthopedics, or durable medical equipment preferred
  • Capacity to analyze problems and develop solutions.
  • Organized and high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication.
  • Proven ability to influence teams without formal authority.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Computer skills - proficient computer system-based tools including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated success developing positive working relationships internally and externally.
