Position Summary

Recovery Home Specialists provide direct supervision to clients residing in a Rosecrance facility as they work toward maintaining a sober lifestyle. At Cynthia House, Recovery Home Specialists serve as key members of the treatment team, supporting female clients in their recovery journey. In this role, you will help guide their transition back into the community and assist them in applying recovery principles to their daily lives.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Skilled in behavioral management techniques

Essential Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the behavior of the residents and provide appropriate behavioral interventions and consequences.
  • Implement therapeutic activities and facilitate development of independent living skills.
  • Develop and present all resident education.
  • Supervise all daily activities, including house jobs, study halls, shopping, cooking meals, free time, etc.
  • Consult with other staff members and plan daily therapeutic direction for designated shift.
  • Facilitate focal group discussion sessions as needed.
  • Attend all scheduled meetings of staff, such as treatment plan reviews, shift meetings or appropriate committee meetings as designated.
  • Ensure that patient service records are maintained consistent with rules and regulations.
  • If designated, monitor self-administration of medicine by residents and record information on medical log.
  • Oversee the cleanliness of the house, resident house jobs, and the proper use of equipment and supplies.
  • Serve as a member of the Rosecrance Team and participate in all team meetings and activities.

Schedule

  • Friday 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Saturday & Sunday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • 1st Shift & 2nd shift

Work Location: Sioux City, Iowa

  • Work Mode: On-site

Compensation & Rewards

  • Starting Pay (based on education, experience and credentials)
    • High School Diploma/GED- $18.43 per hour
    • Associate's Degree- $19.37 per hour
    • Bachelor's Degree- $20.25 per hour
    • Additional $.50/hr. with CADC certification
  • Shift differentials
    • Second shift + $.25/hr. (majority of hours between 3pm and 11pm)
    • Third shift +.50/hr.
  • Incentives:
    • $.50/hr. with CADC certification
