Safeguard Medical

Date: 4 hours ago
City: Huntersville, NC
Contract type: Full time
Description

About the Role:

We’re looking for a Product Manager ready to own the full lifecycle of a defined product line—from discovery through go-to-market, ongoing optimization, and end-of-life decisions. This role is central to how Safeguard Medical delivers innovation to first responders and healthcare professionals across the globe. You'll work cross-functionally with NPI, Sales, Regulatory, Engineering, and Supply Chain to bring clarity, speed, and impact to our product strategy.

You’ll also play a key role in helping redefine what product management looks like at Safeguard—bringing structure, voice-of-customer insights, and cross-functional leadership to a team in build mode.

What You’ll Own

  • Full ownership of a product line, including strategic planning, roadmap development, lifecycle management, and performance tracking.
  • Lead product commercialization efforts, including launch planning, product positioning, channel enablement, and field training.
  • Partner closely with NPI to translate unmet customer needs into commercially viable solutions and ensure alignment from concept through launch.
  • Develop and execute global GTM strategies in partnership with Sales and Marketing to drive adoption across direct and channel markets.
  • Analyze market trends, customer feedback, competitive intel, and business data to guide decisions and defend trade-offs.
  • Identify product gaps or enhancement opportunities and maintain a clear prioritization backlog using frameworks.

Requirements

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of product management experience, ideally in medical devices or adjacent regulated industries.
  • Demonstrated success managing product roadmaps, launch plans, and P&L ownership.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills—especially with NPI, Sales, Regulatory, and Engineering.
  • Comfort operating in both strategic and tactical modes; you can write a business case and dig into field-level feedback.
  • Excellent communicator who can influence without authority and clearly explain complex trade-offs.
  • Familiarity with agile principles and product development methodologies.

Other Requirements

  • Up to 25% travel, including international.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and work from the Huntersville, NC office.

This job description is not designed to cover an exhaustive list of duties. Other duties may be assigned, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
