Hogan Transportation is a 100 year old full service multi faceted transportation company operating throughout North America with a tradition of unparalleled personalized service to clients utilizing first class equipment and advanced technology Job Summary The Human Resources Coordinator will be the primary point of contact for the employees assigned to their group of accounts The individual in this role will provide day to day human resources operational support as needed or required by the employees in assigned groups The individual will be the first point of contact for employee issues basic benefits and 401k questions company policies and other areas associated with the Human Resources Department Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supports assigned region with day to day HR inquiries and tasks Investigates and provides guidance on employee relation issues Processes unemployment claims and participates in the process to contest claims when appropriate Administers the corrective action process in accordance with company policiesAdministers driver leave of absence process to include FMLA ADA Work Comp and Discretionary leave requests Pulls employment reports and analyzes data identifying trends areas of opportunity turnover and EEO Compliance Participates in continuous improvement team projectsResponsible for New Manager orientation training on proper policy and processes Administers HRIS system data updates for assigned region to include processing new hires terminations transfers upgrades and personal information Participates in employee engagement programs activities surveys and events Responds to basic benefits and 401k questions and forwards to the Benefits Department if appropriateAdministers driver programs to include Legal shield Passenger Policy and pet programCompletes employment verifications as needed Requirements Bachelors degree in HR Business Administration or related field required or 1 2 years HR experienceKnowledge of human resource database software preferred Strong organizational skills with great attention to detailExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenADP Workforce Now experience preferredProficient in Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook
