The ideal candidate is an agile-minded problem solver with experience building robust APIs and services in microservices architectures. This is a full-time, hybrid 3 days onsite role based in Glendale, CA.

Job Summary
We are seeking a Backend Engineer with strong experience in Node.js and Java to support a back end–focused streaming platform. The ideal candidate is an agile-minded problem solver with experience building robust APIs and services in microservices architectures. This is a full-time, hybrid 3 days onsite role based in Glendale, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using Java and Node.js
- Build scalable and efficient APIs that support web and mobile applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Participate in two-week agile sprints and daily scrum ceremonies
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Write clean, maintainable code and participate in peer code reviews
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software as needed
- Contribute to architecture and design discussions with technical leadership
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in backend development
- Skills:
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js
- Familiarity with Spring Boot and REST API development
- Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL database technologies
- Strong understanding of RESTful API and microservices architecture
- Proficient in version control systems, particularly Git
- Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Experience with Scala or additional JVM-based languages
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and sprint-based workflows
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure environments (e.g., AWS, GCP)
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and containerized applications
