RN, Registered Nurse - Post Surg/Trauma MedSurg

Summary: The competent Nurse independently practices within a similar clinical setting, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care. They provide routine and complex care, develop long-term plans, and manage clinical contingencies effectively.

• Responsibilities include meeting professional competencies, utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation), and addressing patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.
• Administers medications and treatments following protocols, monitors for side effects, and documents patient information thoroughly.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, families, and caregivers, identifying issues and resources as needed.
• Job requirements include a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred), at least 1 year of related nursing experience (preferred), a valid RN license or compact license, and BLS certification.
• The position is full-time.
