JOB REQUIREMENTS: WPS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a
Substation Designer in our Green Bay, Wisconsin location. This position
offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement(remote/on-site) with
time spent in the office. This is a job family (Substation
Designer/Senior Substation Designer) posting where experience will be

and electrical construction designs for electric substation and electric
generation. Develops drawings, creates purchase orders and participates
in project meetings. Performs site walk downs to verify print accuracy.
Researches and gathers component information needed to create drawings
and engineering documentation. Provides technical support of substation
construction or maintenance activities. Job Responsibilities Design and
develop one line diagrams, site plans, 3D models, electrical panel
layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams from initial concept to final
design. Develop special engineering documentation used to install,
operate, and maintain substation equipment. Communicate and resolve
design issues with the Engineers, Technicians, and Electricians.
Collaborate with Engineers, Technicians, and Electricians on various
project tasks such as developing project scopes and developing design
standards. Requisition equipment, materials, and services. Assist in
developing bidding documents, evaluation and selection of qualified
