Position Summary
Helps schedule, coordinate, and execute the flow of material and paperwork through the department by performing the following duties, with constant supervision. Facilitates the transfer of material and its related paperwork between departments at Firestone, the Weld Shop, and the Rayo facilities. This is achieved through close relationship with all managers, supervisors and lead personnel at the Firestone and Rayo plants by performing the following duties.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities

All functions, duties or tasks are to be carried out in an honest, ethical and professional manner, and to be performed in conformance with applicable Company policies and procedures. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Maintains schedule and material needed to complete production on time in an efficient and safe manner
- Oversees staff performance ensuring that schedules are maintained
- Ensure the operators are working in a safe and efficient manner and providing feedback to the supervisor
- Work directly with the Supervisor, department leads, and scheduler to production stays on schedule and resolve any issues that may arise
- Responsible for moving jobs and related paperwork through the department and other departments as required via forklift or makes arrangements with the material handlers.
- Knowledge of the workings of the plant and materials
- Lends assistance to other departments as required by retrieving tooling, helping organize incoming material to other departments, and preparing parts for O.V. processing.
- Establishes and maintains marshalling areas for departments and machine units.
- Responsible for the general department layout, and tidiness of parts, material and tooling. When not moving material as a priority, identify areas that may look unkempt and facilitate a more organized appearance. Brings to management’s attention, the possibility of a 6S projection in a particular area or department.
- Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situation.
