Job Overview
We are seeking a relational and results-oriented Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping coordinate the full recruitment cycle, sourcing and attracting candidates, conducting interviews and facilitating the hiring process. This individual will play a critical role in the onboarding, training, and DHS requirements. It will also require strong administrative skills to track data and applicants throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the full-cycle recruiting process including but not limited to processing background checks, scheduling new hire training, drug screenings, reference verifications and I-9 verification to ensure timely and compliant hiring.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to assess staffing needs and develop clear and compelling job descriptions.
- Source candidates through diverse channels, including job boards, social media, hiring events and networking opportunities.
- Conduct thorough interviews to evaluate candidates' qualifications and cultural fit within the organization.
- Present shortlisted candidates to hiring managers for the scheduling of second-round interviews.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with potential candidates for future openings.
- Provide regular updates to hiring managers on candidate status and key recruitment metrics.
- Participate in internal recruiting initiatives to promote employee referrals and enhance engagement.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in recruiting to continuously improve our strategies.
- Utilize Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to streamline and manage the recruitment process efficiently.
- Participate in Hiring Events (setup, tear down and working the event).
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support regulatory compliance and internal audits
- Responsible for ensuring candidates meet compliance with DHS requirements.
- Proven experience as a recruiter with a strong grasp of recruitment processes and technical methodologies.
- At least 2 years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
- Preferred educational background in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Proficient in evaluating candidates’ skills and aligning them with job requirements.
- Strong ability to assess candidates for cultural fit within the organization.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building strong internal and external relationships.
- Excellent interviewing skills with the ability to evaluate candidates effectively.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to hiring practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical skills to assess candidate qualifications and make informed hiring decisions.
