What You'll Do
As our Marketing Coordinator, you'll wear many hats, leading a diverse range of initiatives designed to boost brand awareness, engage our community, and drive revenue. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Vision & Growth: Develop and implement innovative marketing plans that maximize profits and market share while prioritizing exceptional customer satisfaction - just as we have for 85 years.
- Brand Champion: Build and strengthen our brand awareness and positioning, ensuring a consistent and compelling message across all channels that reflects our rich history and values.
- Community Engagement: Organize and execute impactful community involvement events (e.g., Coats for Kids, U of M Masonic Hospital, Children's Cancer Research Fund), demonstrating our ongoing commitment to giving back.
- Full-Funnel Marketing: Oversee and execute integrated marketing campaigns across all channels, including TV, radio, print, digital, in-store, SMS, and our mobile app. This includes managing external agency relationships and internal teams.
- Digital Leadership: Drive our digital presence through expert management of SEO, SEM, social media, online reputation, website maintenance (including basic HTML and SEO), and CRM.
- Content Creation & Storytelling: Lead the creation of compelling content across all formats-videos, graphics, signage, brochures, giveaways, and more-and craft engaging press releases that capture media attention.
- Public Relations & Spokesperson: Be the face and voice of our brand, building strong media connections and representing us in periodical TV appearances.
- Revenue Generation: Identify new retail and wholesale customer opportunities, generate leads, and develop persuasive promotions and offers that drive sales.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Manage a six-figure marketing budget, meticulously track billing, and provide insightful reporting to leadership to inform strategic decisions.
We're looking for a highly motivated, self-starting individual with a proven track record of marketing success and a passion for making a difference in a family-oriented environment.
- Experience: 3-5 years of progressive experience in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Marketing Acumen: Proven success in developing and executing comprehensive marketing campaigns, with a strong understanding of all aspects of the marketing mix.
- Communication & Leadership: Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. You're comfortable with public speaking, leading meetings, creating impactful presentations, and being the confident voice of our brand.
- Content & Design Expertise: Strong copywriting skills and proficiency in graphic design (Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, & Canva) to create compelling content for all marketing forms. Video editing and photography skills a plus.
- Digital Savvy: Competency in all essential marketing tools, including SMS marketing, mobile apps, CRM systems, Microsoft applications, Google, Bing, Yelp, and all social media platforms.
- Strategic & Analytical Mindset: Ability to manage budgets, analyze data, and provide insights that drive strategic decisions.
- Detail-Oriented & Proactive: A keen eye for detail, a professional and proactive work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple projects with autonomy and little supervision.
- Collaborative Spirit: While independent, you're adept at working with sales, management, and customer service teams to achieve shared goals.
- Basic knowledge of the fashion industry, garments, or dry cleaning.
- Experience working with an outside marketing agency.
