The Opportunity

We’re looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Head of Finance & Operations to lead our financial and operational foundation as we scale. This is a pivotal role for a sharp operator who thrives in ambiguity, brings clarity to complexity, and wants to be on the path to CFO. You’ll build the systems that power our growth, drive financial discipline, enable smart capital allocation, and bring operational excellence across teams. You will partner closely with the CEO, COO, and Board—owning investor communications, financial governance, pricing, planning, and the development of dashboards that matter.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Planning & Governance: Own budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling across all functions. Establish fiscal discipline and controls across departments.
• Capital Allocation & Pricing Strategy: Evaluate pricing models, customer economics, and resource allocation to maximize long-term enterprise value.
• Investor Relations & Board Management: Build board materials, manage investor updates, and work closely with the CEO on fundraising and strategic finance.
• Operational Excellence: Drive performance management and operational rigor across cross-functional teams (GTM, Product, People Ops, etc.).
• Accounting, Compliance, and Vendor Oversight: Partner with external firms to ensure timely close, compliance, and reporting across payroll, taxes, and audits.
  
  

What We’re Looking For (Must-Haves)

• 8+ years in Finance & Ops roles, with 2–3+ years in a Series A–C VC-backed startup or high-growth tech company.
• Strong financial modeling and capital allocation chops, with experience managing budgets and setting up financial processes from scratch.
• Board & investor communication experience, including leading board decks, metrics reviews, and financing materials.
• Operational mindset with experience implementing or managing OKR frameworks, dashboards, systems (e.g., Ripping, ERP, Hubspot, SaaS billing platforms).
• Collaborative leadership and bias for action, aligned with Autonomize’s cultural values: full-stack ownership, customer obsession, and operating in the final mile.
