FEA Engineer

Position Summary
This position utilizes non-linear analysis software to evaluate design performance and ensure compliance with design requirements. The role also supports the product development cycle by proposing alternative design solutions to meet customer specifications.

Specific Functions

• Assist in the design of rubber products using non-linear analysis tools such as Abaqus and Hypermesh to meet customer requirements.
• Support the design of structural components using Abaqus and Hypermesh to ensure performance compliance.
• Generate technical data for design reviews and presentations, including FEA results, predicted rate curves, stress/strain data, and durability forecasts (using FE-Safe for structural components).
• Clearly and concisely communicate design and program-related issues.
• Deliver information and analysis on time to support key program milestones.
• Represent the company in customer meetings as needed.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining progress on all fronts.
• Regularly interface with Product Engineers and Engineering Managers.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant industry practices, engineering methods, mathematics, and materials.
• Stay current with evolving engineering and industry standards.

Competency Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Experience: Relevant background in engineering and design analysis
• Computer Skills: Proficient with Abaqus, Hypermesh, and other related tools
• Certifications & Licenses: May vary by project; ongoing training may be required
• Other Requirements: Strong grasp of engineering principles, mathematics, and automotive industry knowledge
