Day Porter

Position Summary

The Day Porter is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout GTI Energy’s facilities during operating hours. This role provides essential daytime janitorial and light maintenance support to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and facility readiness. The Day Porter will interact with staff and visitors and must display a professional and helpful demeanor.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as wiping surfaces, vacuuming, dusting, and emptying trash and recycling bins.
• Maintain cleanliness in common areas including lobbies, restrooms, kitchens, break rooms, and conference rooms.
• Restock supplies in restrooms, kitchens, and other designated areas throughout the day.
• Monitor and respond to cleaning requests or spills promptly.
• Support light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, reporting maintenance issues, and assisting vendors or technicians as needed.
• Ensure outdoor areas such as walkways and entrances are clean and free of debris.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings or special events during the day.
• Follow safety procedures and report any hazards or facility concerns to management.
• Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor with all employees and visitors.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or facility maintenance roles preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning supplies, equipment, and safety practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently .
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
