We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Corporate Development Manager to join the team in our Bethesda office.

The Corporate Development Manager will participate in and drive our strategic growth initiatives. You will lead and support the execution of the full spectrum of M&A activities, from industry research and pipeline generation to complex financial modeling, valuation, and the preparation of critical investment committee and board approval materials.

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered remote which means it does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a CohnReznick office location. However, as a remote employee, you may be required to be present at a CohnReznick office with scheduled notice for client work, team meetings, or trainings.

YOUR ROLE.

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To

• Work collaboratively with senior leadership to define the M&A strategy aligned with corporate goals.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential acquisition targets and assess industry trends.
• Screen potential acquisition and partnership opportunities
• Collaborate with CohnReznick’s Industry & Service teams to proactively build and cultivate a robust M&A target pipeline
• Support and enhance relationships with investment bankers, external advisors, and private equity partners
• Synthesize complex data into compelling presentations and actionable investment conclusions for executive management review
• Oversee and lead complex financial and valuation analysis relating to M&A transactions, providing thought leadership across economic scenarios/analysis in a clear and concise manner to executive leaders
• Manage critical deal logistics, including VDR oversight, project timelines, stakeholder coordination, and compliance with internal policies
• Monitor and report on the performance of completed transactions, providing insights and recommendations for future improvements
• Own various ad-hoc corporate finance projects, including cost of equity analysis, goodwill model valuation testing, and market/industry research
  
  

Your Experience.

The successful candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 5+ years (preferably within professional services) of corporate development, M&A, and/or investment banking experience, with experience executing transactions across the lifecycle
• Proven knowledge in the M&A transaction lifecycle, including due diligence, financial analysis, valuation, deal structuring, and negotiation
• Strong financial concepts and analytical, modelling skills with experience in discounted cash flow, and relative valuation methods (e.g., trading and transaction comparable)
• Exceptional verbal, written, and communication skills; ability to interact with various levels within the organization (including executive) and external partners, such as investment bankers, accounting/tax/finance advisors, and PE partners
• Demonstrated strong project management abilities, crucial for overseeing intricate M&A initiatives
• Ability to operate under tight deadlines and navigate complex organizational structures
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and S&P Capital IQ

In Maryland, the salary range for a Corporate Development Manager is $158,000 to $218,000. Salary is one component of the CohnReznick total rewards package, which includes a discretionary performance bonus, generous paid time off, expanded and inclusive parental benefits, and access to best-in-class learning and development platforms, to name a few.
