St. Patrick's Home is actively seeking a full-time Medicaid Coordinator to work in the business office of our facility. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and be able to effectively multi-task; should also be computer savvy, have a good personality, and be able to work well with others. Familiarity with skilled nursing facility finances, as well as experience dealing with Medicaid, is preferred.
The Medicaid Coordinator will be an integral member of our finance team, whose responsibilities will include:

St. Patrick's Home is a Faith-Based facility located in the northwest section of the Bronx, bordering scenic Van Cortlandt Park. Sharing in the Ministry of the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm since 1931, the dedicated staff provides Long and Short-term Care to the elderly, meeting the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of the residents as a part of the St. Patrick's family, where "The Difference is Love."

The Medicaid Coordinator will be an integral member of our finance team, whose responsibilities will include:
- Meeting with residents/families to discuss their financial obligations
- Work with residents and families to ensure they are paid in full
- Assist with gathering of documentation for Medicaid applicants
- Make sure all admission agreements are properly signed
- Make sure all monthly NAMI (income contributions) are paid in full
- Other duties as required
- Prior experience in a Nursing Home finance/Medicaid office is preferred
- High comfort level to meet with residents/families to discuss and advise on their financial obligations
- Must be computer literate, and proficient in Microsoft Office
- Should be highly detailed and organized
