As the HR Coordinator, you will provide essential administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team, ensuring the seamless delivery of HR services within a fast-paced and dynamic sports entertainment environment. You will play a key role in facilitating employee onboarding, managing core HR processes, and driving employee engagement initiatives that contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture. This position demands strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships with internal stakeholders, including Payroll, Hiring Managers, and employees, to support organizational success.

As the HR Coordinator, you will provide essential administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team, ensuring the seamless delivery of HR services within a fast-paced and dynamic sports entertainment environment. You will play a key role in facilitating employee onboarding, managing core HR processes, and driving employee engagement initiatives that contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture. This position demands strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships with internal stakeholders, including Payroll, Hiring Managers, and employees, to support organizational success.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS system (Paylocity), ensuring data integrity, timely updates, and compliance with company policies.
- Lead and manage the annual internship and summer internship programs, including assisting with recruitment, onboarding, coordination of events, and ongoing support to ensure a meaningful experience for interns.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and workplace programs, escalating complex issues to HR Business Partners.
- Support the planning and execution of HR initiatives, including policy updates, employee surveys, and training programs, to improve the employee experience and align with organizational strategic objectives.
- Coordinate and support employee engagement, activation, and recognition initiatives, including planning events, administering recognition programs, gathering employee feedback, and promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture that supports morale, retention, and a team first culture.
- Maintain full ownership of employee personnel files, ensuring all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and securely stored in compliance with company policy and legal requirements—including the proper completion, tracking, and retention of I-9 forms and other required records.
- Conduct regular audits of HR data and employee files to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards, while identifying opportunities to improve processes and maintain data integrity across systems.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws, assist with audits, and prepare reports on HR metrics for leadership review.
- Respond to Employment Verifications (Verbal & written), Unemployment inquiries and other government requests.
- Assist the HR Team with the recruitment and talent acquisition as needed.
- Other assignments, projects and tasks assigned by the other members of the Human Resources team.
- Bachelor’s degree, with 1-2 years of work experience in Human Resources or a customer-facing service-related field
- Strong foundation in HR principles and administrative processes
- 1 Year of HRIS experience (Paylocity preferred)
- Are collaborative, resourceful, and solutions-focused with a can-do attitude
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and time management
- Possess strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Strong team building and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly communicate in writing and verbally to a variety of audiences
- Ability to handle highly confidential information
- Must be able to work a varying work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn other software applications as needed
- Graphic design skills are a plus, particularly experience creating professional and engaging materials for internal communications, presentations, employee events, using tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms.
