Position Summary
Drives gasoline or diesel-powered straight truck to transport, and deliver concrete products, reinforcing or structural steel, warehouse materials, and/or scrap materials. Abides by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Drives truck to destination applying commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle in difficult situations.
Understands and follows the regulations of the DOT and the states entered.
Maintains driver log, fuel and inspection reports according to DOT regulations.
Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits reports indicating truck condition.
Maintains truck and miscellaneous equipment in good, safe working condition.
Blocks and secures all loads to protect from damage.
Assists workers in loading and unloading truck and operates forklift as needed.
Assists contractors when heavy equipment is being used to unload products.
Checks all products when delivered to verify the accuracy and condition of the load.
Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements & Education
Valid Commercial Driver’s License – Class B or Class A
Other Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to work according to seasonal and order demand schedule.
Able to travel 60% of the time, securing product and loading and unloading.
Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and
- 2 years of driving experience; or
- an equivalent combination of education and experience.
