What You’ll Do Here

  • Review completed search packages for accuracy.
  • Examine chain of title; such as deeds, deeds of trust, liens, judgments, easements, CCR's if needed to identify problems and note requirements for correcting title; determine requirements and exceptions for issuing title Preliminary reports.
  • Review title objection letters, endorsement requests, lender closing instructions and other correspondence and amend pr supplement items as appropriate.
  • Review documents such as trusts, powers of attorney and other court documents.
  • Request over limit approvals/Fincen requirements according to company and underwriter guidelines.
  • Properly price policies, endorsements, using appropriate schedule of fees and charges.
  • Receive and respond to customer inquiries. Provide technical expertise to customer inquiries adhering to company and underwriting guidelines without assistance from manager.
  • Consult with customers for verification of facts and details involving the property; we ask for exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Provide thorough explanations and alternatives regarding title issues to both internal and external customers.
  • Clear title for recording and issue clear instructions for the issuance of title insurance and endorsements.
  • Provide support to all other job positions when necessary.

You Have

  • Knowledge of title procedures and policy issuance
  • Experience in abstracting title documentation
  • Experience with Closing Protection Letter programs
  • Experience with Title Search engine programs
  • Ability to prepare documents and closing instructions
  • Ability to communicate with clients in the opening and closing of title files
  • Knowledge of real estate, title insurance or mortgage business desired
  • Knowledge of legal descriptions is desired
  • Strong computer skills
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Willingness and flexibility to perform other assignments as needed

Base Pay Range: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00, base pay will vary depending on several factors, such as the position, location, qualifications of the individual, market conditions, and other operational business requirements.
