The Director, Performance Accounts is responsible for overseeing and driving sales management of MagnaFlow Group’s performance products at the national level. - Final agreed upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to an individual’s related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
The Director, Performance Accounts is responsible for overseeing and driving sales management of MagnaFlow Group’s performance products at the national level. This role combines strategic planning, team leadership and performance optimization to achieve sales targets and ensure consistent growth in performance sales across all regions.
Responsibilities
STRATEGIC PLANNING & SALES LEADERSHIP
- Develop and implement performance-driven sales strategies to achieve sales targets and revenue growth
- Prospect for new business
- Analyze market trends to identify new business opportunities
- Collaborate with senior leadership to forecast revenue and growth
- Monitor national sales performance metrics and identify areas for improvement
- Foster a high-performance, results-driven culture
- Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products and services to existing accounts.
- Prepare and deliver performance reports and insights to Senior and Executive leadership
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key accounts, acting as the primary point of contact for clients.
- Understand client needs and objectives to tailor solutions that align with their goals.
- Regularly engage with clients to ensure satisfaction, identify opportunities for growth, and address any issues or concerns promptly.
- Develop trust and credibility with key decision-makers to facilitate long-term partnerships and loyalty.
- Handle high-profile accounts and negotiations directly
- Resolve escalated client issues and ensure customer satisfaction
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned accounts, as well as in new or untapped markets.
- Research potential clients, understand their business needs, and proactively reach out to generate leads.
- Work closely with the sales team to qualify leads and convert them into long-term customers.
- Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure timely and effective delivery of products/services.
- Address and resolve customer concerns, issues, or complaints in a professional and efficient manner.
- Monitor the performance of products or services provided to clients, ensuring they meet the agreed-upon expectations.
- Work closely with marketing, product, and customer service teams to ensure alignment and the successful delivery of client needs.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth onboarding and implementation of new client accounts.
- Provide feedback to internal teams on customer preferences, industry trends, and market conditions to help refine product offerings and
- strategies.
- Track and manage sales performance, including sales activities, pipeline progress, and forecasted revenue.
- Provide regular updates and sales reports to leadership regarding progress toward goals and key metrics.
- Maintain accurate records of account information, sales activities, and customer interactions.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to anticipate customer needs and provide insights to
- clients.
- Continuously learn about the company’s product offerings to effectively position and demonstrate value to clients.

- Degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field, with significant experience in the automotive aftermarket.
- 3+ years of experience selling performance suspension products
- Business negotiation and category management experience
- Microsoft Office
- Effective communication skills
- Self-motivated and well organized
- Medium travel
- Light weekend event participation
- Industry knowledge of both exhaust and suspension products
- 10+ years of experience in product management, preferably in the automotive aftermarket industry.
- Demonstrable leadership experience with a focus on sales growth within the automotive aftermarket.
- Strong understanding of the distribution networks and customer base in the aftermarket parts industry.
- Proficient in CRM systems with a particular emphasis on salesforce.com.
- Willingness to travel extensively and participate in aftermarket trade shows and events.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive parts and accessories, including compliance with ARB and EPA regulations.
