QUALITY SPECIALIST - SUPPLIER COMPLIANCE - CARROLLTON, TX

Overview

The Quality Specialist – Supplier Compliance plays a pivotal role in ensuring the adherence to the supplier approval and material management expectations for all the Teasdale facilities. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining a master materials list and ensuring compliance with all suppliers.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain a master material list.
• Ensure supplier and manufacturing facility accuracy for all materials.
• Launch and maintain all supplier documentation within Tracegains.
• Perform annual audits of Bill of Materials (BOM) against the master material list.
• Maintain a register of all active raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products for each facility.
• Partner with facility Quality Managers to assign risk levels for each material for Food Safety, Food Fraud, Food Defense, and Intentional Adulteration.
• Populate and maintain internal raw material specifications and route through R&D and Quality for approval.
• Conduct annual supplier mock recall activities.
• Work with R&D, Quality, and Procurement to ensure supplier approval compliance for new and existing products.
• Participate in weekly product meetings for visibility to new materials involved in launch and obsolescence.
• Maintain change management documents for new materials.
• Support plants during audits by providing requested materials data.
• Serve as a back-up for the Quality Specialist – Complaints and Customer Compliance.
  
  

What You'll Need

• Education: Bachelors of Science degree preferred or Comparable Industry Experience
• Leadership skills, focused on results, decision making, teamwork, change management.
• Strong mathematical and PC skills including MS office.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from cross-functional associates throughout the organization.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and operational demands.
