Job Summary

Quickparts seeks a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping and Receiving Technician for our Clinton Twp facility. In this role, you will be a critical part of our operations, responsible for the final stages of our production process. You will handle the careful packaging, inspection, and shipment of precision parts, ensuring they reach our customers accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities

Order Fulfillment & Logistics

  • Package parts according to specific written and verbal instructions, completing all related documents including packing slips, inspection documents, shipping work orders, labels, and bills of lading.
  • Utilize computer software, including UPS and FedEx programs, to efficiently ship, track, check, and route orders.
  • Prepare and complete the daily shipping report, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Quality Assurance & Inventory Management

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections on parts prior to packaging to guarantee quality standards are met.
  • Communicate effectively via email and in-person to answer questions and provide updates regarding shipments.
  • Order and manage shipping-related supplies as needed to maintain operational readiness.

Operational Excellence & Safety

  • Report on activities, progress, and any issues to the department manager or lead.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area at all times.
  • Operate forklifts and other manufacturing machinery safely and competently.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of related experience in a shipping, receiving, or logistics role.
  • Computer savvy with working knowledge of MS Office and shipping software (UPS, FedEx).
  • A quality-conscious individual with strong attention to detail and the ability to use basic measuring tools.
  • Excellent organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Good knowledge of forklift operation.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, and bend for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
  • Must be able to regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently lift up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
