We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead the AP function related to operating expenses. This role manages a team of three and ensures timely, accurate, and compliant processing of all operating expense payables. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, a continuous improvement mindset, and a thorough understanding of AP processes in a high-volume, complex business environment.
Schedule Requirements: 3 Days in office per week at HQ office

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead the AP function related to operating expenses. This role manages a team of three and ensures timely, accurate, and compliant processing of all operating expense payables. What You'll Do
- Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process for all operating expense invoices, including utilities, rent, insurance, professional services, T&E, and indirect procurement.
- Manage and develop a high-performing team of 3 AP Specialists, providing coaching, training, and performance management.
- Ensure accurate coding, approval, and timely payment of operating expense invoices in compliance with company policies and internal controls.
- Maintain and improve AP workflows and automation tools to increase efficiency and minimize errors.
- Partner with Procurement and IT along with other business unit leaders to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Lead monthly AP close processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and reporting.
- Monitor AP aging and ensure prompt resolution of outstanding items and discrepancies.
- Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to report on team performance, invoice cycle times, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing required schedules and documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant tax regulations, 1099 compliance, and accounting standards impacting AP.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent work experience
- 3–5+ years of progressive AP experience
- Experience working in a large, multi-site organization—distribution, logistics, or manufacturing industry preferred.
- Deep understanding of operating expense categories and indirect cost control.
- Strong ERP system experience and familiarity with AP automation tools.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service orientation.
