Position Overview

CHA is currently seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our OB/GYN practice in Revere. In this vital role, you will support providers and patients by facilitating the smooth operation of clinic visits and contributing to the delivery of compassionate, high-quality care. You will be an integral part of a care team that supports the reproductive health needs of patients across all stages of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently manage patient flow and assist in rooming patients
  • Document medical histories and patient information in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Take vital signs and perform point-of-care testing
  • Assist providers with clinical procedures
  • Book screening tests as part of the outreach process and booking follow up appointments (e.g., well child visits, vaccine booster visits)
  • Support proactive population health efforts through outreach, patient communications (calls, letters, MyCHArt messages), and care coordination

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program, completion of an approved certified nursing assistant training program or one year of previous experience as a medical assistant in lieu of program completion required.
  • Certifications: Maintains current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Language Skills: Ability to write and verbally communicate in English. Fluency in a second language is strongly preferred.
  • Work Experience: Current experience as a Medical Assistant preferred. Experience with administrative duties in a clinical setting preferred.
