Position Summary:

The Product Coordinator provides strategic and practical input for specific product offerings for product life-cycle in the United States and Canada. Analyzes sales reports, market performance, financial impacts, trends, and merchandising strategies. Manages new and existing products to meet corporate goals. Serves as champion for beauty care product lines across all North American markets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in domestic product development projects
  • Ensure that products are launched on time for each country’s event
  • Maintaining brands consistency across each market
  • Review and analyze sales and inventory reports to project sales and trends, analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive landscape to identify product selection.
  • Work with Brand Managers and Beauty business leaders/creators on pricing, inventory levels, product introduction, and minimum order quantities
  • Coordinate with Creative Services, purchasing and country managers on domestic catalogs (due dates, reprint dates, inventory levels, content)
  • Work with product consultants on legal/product requirements for North America.
  • Participate in new product launches (working with science, legal, quality control, consultants, and product managers on product list)
  • Collaborates with Marketing to establish effective marketing strategies including an overall product image plan and layout for catalogue and web to maximize sales.
  • Review product analysis and present such analysis to substantiate product line strategy.
  • Ensures the ongoing financial success of new and existing products across all sales channels.
  • Approves final product information, materials, features, benefits, specifications, and pricing for catalogue to ensure accuracy.
  • Review sales forecasts for new and existing products to analyze strategy with product managers and department director and establishes pricing and margins to maximize profits.
  • Participates in performance evaluation to ensure product quality and aesthetics.
  • Complies with company policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as needed.


Supervisory Responsibilities

  • None, but may direct the work of others.


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School diploma, Bachelor’s degrees preferred.
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in beauty sales, jewelry, retail sales, marketing or related field
  • Working knowledge of beauty products, industry trends and skin care products.
  • Demonstrated experience bringing a product to market preferred.


Computer/Communication Skills:

  • Proficient use of MS Office programs: Word, Excel, and Outlook, required
  • High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted strategic projects in conjunction with day-to-day tactical activities
  • Ability to get along and work with diverse personalities; tactful, mature, flexible
  • Prioritizes and models good communication skills; follows up, timely responses, proactive and positive in approach
  • Above moderate to high levels in reading comprehension, writing, and speaking in English; active listening; attention to detail; critical thinking; mathematics, creative problem solving; complex problem solving; and judgment.


Travel:

  • Annual conference participation and related travel


Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Normal office environment with little exposure to dust and weather conditions prevalent at the time (i.e., cold hot/humid)
  • Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, cameras, photocopiers, and filing cabinets
  • Regularly required to talk, walk, stand, bend, twist, reach with hands and arms, stoop kneel and crouch
  • Raise and lower an object from one level to the another, less than twenty (20) pounds.
  • Visual acuity must be a minimum or 20/40 (corrected) and normal hand/eye coordination
  • Normal or corrected hearing
  • Must be able to perform in an office environment where ninety (90) percent of work is performed sitting.
  • Occasional long or irregular hours of work
