The Job Details

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Intern to support our Cold Share Consolidation team. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience and insight into the daily operations of our logistics department. The ideal candidate will contribute to key logistical functions and assist in maintaining the efficiency of our supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the pre-scheduling of delivery appointments for designated receivers prior to load planning.
  • Support in reviewing and approving detention charges and monitoring rate adjustment requests to ensure timely resolution.
  • Aid in customer order entry and ensure accuracy in order creation within internal systems.
  • Monitor and track freight tenders for select customers to support efficient load assignment and carrier communication.

Education

  • High school diploma and working towards a degree in Supply Chain or a related field.

Experience

  • PC, leadership and planning skills helpful.
  • Experience in AS400, SAP, Word, Excel and Power Point a plus.
  • Experience with warehouse paperwork a plus.

  • Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time

  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • May require physical effort associated with using the computer to access information, or occasional standing, walking, lifting needed to carry out everyday activities.
  • Understand and follow verbal instruction, written instruction and company policies.
  • A starter that can work independently and coordinate with others
  • Follow safety procedures at all times.
  • Ability to manage stress and productivity guidelines

  • Verify the implementation of solutions.
  • Follow posted security procedures at all times while in the building.
  • Participate in Safety and Educational Training.
