Description

SUMMARY: Supervises and coordinates activities of production material handlers, powered equipment drivers and engaged in scheduling of parts supply by performing the following duties.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following and other duties assigned.

  • Coordination of manpower in assigned area along with the AM: Monitoring of manpower STD & Actual & initiates actions to maintain the STD, scheduling of time off and back up plan, placement of associates in positions they are qualified, updates to cross training matrix and planning to improve flexibility.
  • Coordinate with AM new associate training with Lead Operators and EMS Manager (Power Equipment Training). Submit to the AM final evaluation of training status and approve training documentation in accordance with HAL Training Procedure.
  • Ensure daily power equipment safety checks are being performed by monitoring through periodic audits.
  • Ensure Safety Standard for using dock plate and dock lock. Periodic audits to be performed and Standard is being followed.
  • Ensure standards are being maintained for designated parts placement and maintenance of designated parts signs.
  • Ensure incoming supply chain part delivery times are being maintained. This is done through a daily review of the Trailer Plan and Actual Log. If issues with occur, then the issue will be escalated to the Production Control Planner.
  • Ensure timely part deliveries from the receiving area to the production line, through implementation of efficient method/system for parts replenishment and empty container pick up.
  • Ability to prepare Customer SPANF (Supplier Part Advance Notification Form) in the absence of the AM. This form to be prepared in the in the event there may be an impact to the normal shipping process, due to a component part shortage.
  • Ensure all associates following all safety and PPE requirements based on the Company Handbook.
  • Track, analyze and communicate key performance metrics:
  • Safety – First Aid and OSHA Recordable.
  • Quality – Product or Property Damage.
  • Delivery – Part supply shortage that impacts the Production line.
  • Delivery – Supply Chain delivery Plan/Actual.
  • Support and participate continuous improvement implementation, based on the Production Control Department Kaizen plan.
  • Initiate/Participate in problem solving activities that have a negative impact to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. The 5P format should be used to show the 5 Why, Root Cause and Countermeasure actions to remedy the issue.
  • Any reports or presentations that are assigned by the AM including but not limited to weekly production & IPD meeting.
  • Participate and lead area of responsibility for all planned physical parts inventories. This normally done 2 times per year however, additional physical inventories may be scheduled.
  • Understanding and ability to perform as well as train IQMS Receipt entry for incoming parts to maintain control & accuracy of inventory.
  • Daily communication with the opposite shift, through the shift communication log.
  • Supportss start of shift meetings related to SQDCME and any other pertinent company information.

Education And/or Experience

The preferred background would include at least 2 years of Leadership experience in Receiving/Material Flow Management.

Computer And Technology Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word. Power Point skills are preferred.

Basics of the IQMS Operating System as it pertains to material flow movement and receipt entry.
