Overview

The Vice President, International Commercial Strategy & Execution is the senior-most executive responsible for RxSight’s international commercial strategy and execution. This role drives market entry, commercial readiness, and sustained platform adoption across LAL (Light Adjustable Lens) and LDD (Light Delivery Device) in Europe, Asia-Pacific, LATAM, and other priority regions.

This leader will architect and lead comprehensive country commercialization plans, coordinating across Sales & Marketing, Clinical Affairs, Market Access, Field Service, and Training to establish a scalable, customer-centric global business. The VP will lead on the ex-US commercial team and will have end-to-end accountability from pre-approval commercial set-up to post-launch commercial integration and growth.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

International Strategy & Country Planning

  • Develop and lead multi-year country-specific commercialization strategies, prioritization, including segmentation, reimbursement, KOL engagement, and revenue modeling.
  • Create and drive approval and execution of full Country Business Plans with defined KPIs for launch success, utilization, and growth.
  • Prioritize markets based on strategic fit, clinical evidence generation, and readiness for LAL adoption.

Pre-Approval Commercial Coordination

  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Clinical, and Medical Affairs to drive site selection, KOL engagement, and trial site activation planning across key international markets.
  • Design market conditioning initiatives that prepare physicians and practices for post-approval adoption.

Commercial Launch & Sales Execution

  • Lead international launches of the LAL platform, overseeing execution across regulatory approval, market access, sales, and training.
  • Recruit, train, and scale high-performing field commercial teams tailored to local dynamics and platform complexity.
  • Build and operationalize an international launch playbook with structured onboarding (30/60/90-day plans), CRM documentation, and ramp benchmarks.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Serve as global integrator across Sales, Marketing, Commercial Finance, Clinical Training, Field Service, and Customer Experience teams.
  • Ensure seamless LAL/LDD workflow integration into surgical practices—from patient consultation to post-op adjustment.

Customer Success & Experience

  • Drive adoption of adoption programs in international markets to optimize early surgeon experience and repeat usage.
  • Establish infrastructure for post-launch success: performance reviews, best practice sharing, and ongoing training pathways.
  • Represent the voice of the international customer internally; ensure product, training, and service teams are responsive to global feedback.

Data, Analytics, and CRM Infrastructure

  • Standardize CRM processes and build real-time dashboards tracking LAL/LDD utilization, adoption speed, and customer engagement.
  • Lead performance management reviews using KPIs such as onboarding duration, training status, and time-to-first-implant.

Organizational Leadership & Development

  • Build and lead an international commercial team including country GMs, Regional Directors, and functional support (marketing, training, customer success).
  • Cultivate a global team culture focused on strategic clarity, disciplined execution, and patient-centricity.

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Highly strategic, data-driven commercial leader with a track record of building and scaling new country operations from the ground up
  • Demonstrated ability to design and operationalize international market strategies that balance long-term vision with executional urgency
  • Deep understanding of premium medical device adoption and integration into surgical workflows; success aligning sales, training, and service for sustained platform utilization
  • Experienced in leading cross-functional launch execution across sales, marketing, clinical, regulatory, and field operations in complex global environments
  • Skilled in interpreting commercial performance using dashboards and KPIs to inform investment decisions, coach regional teams, and drive growth
  • Proven ability to enforce disciplined field adoption of CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), including use of custom modules to monitor adoption, training, and performance
  • Supports quota setting and performance calibration for the international commercial team in collaboration with Sales Operations
  • Strong influencing, coaching, and communication skills; excels at leading through others in matrixed organizations and developing high-impact commercial talent

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Will directly lead the strategic design and phased hiring of RxSight’s EU commercial and customer success team. Responsible for building the team structure, hiring roadmap, training infrastructure, and performance management processes from the ground up.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, And TRAINING

  • 15+ years in commercial leadership within MedTech or ophthalmology, with extensive international market experience.
  • Proven success building new markets, launching novel medical devices, and leading complex global teams.
  • Strong knowledge of capital equipment + procedure-based adoption models.
  • Deep fluency in commercialization across different health systems, especially Europe and Asia.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate field functions (sales, clinical, training, service) in complex product environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • Training to be completed per the training plan for this position as maintained in the document control system
  • The training requirements on TRN-10007 Insider Trading Policy, TRN-10008 Global Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Policy and TRN-10009 Code of Business Conducts and Ethics must be diligently completed within 30 days from the hiring date and on an annual basis

Computer Skills

  • Strong proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), with a focus on optimizing and enforcing usage of custom-built commercial modules for adoption tracking and field performance.
  • Skilled in using commercial analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to interpret KPIs and guide strategic decisions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint, for executive-level reporting and business planning.

Performance Metrics

  • Market-by-market commercial milestone completion and launch timelines
  • % LDDs placed in accounts with sustained LAL usage at 90 and 180 days
  • Drive to 5 milestone achievement across international surgeon base
  • Time-to-first-implant and ramp velocity by country
  • CRM fidelity and commercial team execution against KPIs
  • International revenue performance and commercial P&L vs. plan
