Chief of Staff

Nift

Date: 1 day ago
City: Boston, MA
Contract type: Full time
Remote
As we enter our next chapter of growth at Nift, we're hiring a Chief of Staff to the CEO — a highly trusted, execution-obsessed operator who thrives in complexity, communicates with precision, and drives alignment and accountability across a fast-moving company.

The Chief of Staff is the CEO's right hand, a trusted advisor who can execute on his behalf — someone who can cut through noise, prioritize what matters, and make decisions in ambiguity. In this role, you'll manage the CEO's time and priorities while also owning the execution of company-wide goals, strategic initiatives, and internal communications.

This is a high-impact role ideal for someone who leads with clarity, moves fast, and operates without ego, politics, or excess. Strong preference for candidates located within a 75-mile radius of Boston, MA.

Our Mission

Nift's mission is to reshape how people discover and try new brands by introducing them to new products and services through thoughtful "thank-you" gifts. Our customer-first approach ensures businesses acquire new customers efficiently while making customers feel valued and rewarded.

We are a data-driven, cash-flow-positive company that has experienced 1,111% growth over the last three years. Now, we're scaling to become one of the largest sources for new customer acquisition worldwide. Backed by investors who supported Fitbit, Warby Parker, and Twitter, we are poised for exponential growth and ready to demonstrate impact on a global scale. Read more about our growth here.

What you will do

  • Serve as a strategic extension of the CEO—supporting decision-making, owning priorities, and managing the CEO's bandwidth for maximum impact
  • Directly manage the CEO's executive assistant / project manager to ensure day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives are tightly run
  • Own and optimize the CEO's calendar, travel, and meeting flow—ensuring that time is aligned to the company's highest priorities
  • Initiate and manage external outreach to investors, advisors, and strategic partners on behalf of the CEO
  • Anticipate roadblocks, operational risks, and resource needs before they become fires
  • Lead / facilitate the company-wide OKR process: setting, aligning, and tracking monthly goals across departments
  • Identify organizational blockers and escalate when appropriate
  • Manage strategic projects and drive cross-functional execution—ensuring milestones are hit and outcomes are clear
  • Build trust and context across teams to help the CEO make fast, informed decisions.
  • Act as an internal "signal router," surfacing emerging challenges or disconnects quickly and tactfully
  • Ensure the executive team operates with shared clarity, urgency, and accountability
  • Own internal and external communication flow from the office of the CEO, with messaging that is sharp, consistent, and timely
  • Draft internal updates, talking points, and meeting prep materials that enable executive clarity
  • Keep loops tight across stakeholders ensuring follow-through and zero dropped balls

You Might Be a Fit If You…

  • Are deeply trustworthy, emotionally intelligent, and capable of handling sensitive or confidential matters with grace
  • Are hyper-organized, naturally proactive, and obsessed with execution and precision
  • Have a "get stuff done" attitude and lead with logic, clarity, and results
  • Operate calmly and confidently in fast-changing, high-stakes environments

What you need

  • 6–10+ years in high-trust leadership or operational roles (e.g., Chief of Staff, Strategy & Ops Lead, start-up founder, consulting)
  • Proven ability to manage people, directly or indirectly (ideally across executional and administrative functions)
  • Experience working closely with a CEO or senior executive in a high-growth or startup environment
  • Strong systems thinker, with a track record of driving measurable results across OKRs, planning, and execution
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • (Preferred) Experience scaling internal operations in a mid-sized, fast-growing startup
  • (Preferred) Background in investor relations, board operations, or cross-functional program management
  • Strong preference for candidates located within a 75-mile radius of Boston, MA

What you get

  • Competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits (401K, Medical/Dental/Vision), and we offer all full-time employees the potential to hold company equity
  • Flexible remote work
  • Unlimited Responsible PTO
  • Great opportunity to join a growing, cash-flow-positive company while having a direct impact on Nift's revenue, growth, scale, and future success
