Job Summary
Dentive is looking for a RCM Specialist who will serve as a key player on the Dentive RCM Team. This role will play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the revenue cycle operations by designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive training programs for all Dentive partner practices. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of the revenue cycle process, insurance coordinator roles, various practice management software, insurance company processing policies, and experience auditing key collection metrics to assure the highest reimbursement rates and maximize the financial health of each practice.

Job Summary
Dentive is looking for a RCM Specialist who will serve as a key player on the Dentive RCM Team. This role will play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the revenue cycle operations by designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive training programs for all Dentive partner practices. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of the revenue cycle process, insurance coordinator roles, various practice management software, insurance company processing policies, and experience auditing key collection metrics to assure the highest reimbursement rates and maximize the financial health of each practice.
Essential Functions
RCM Audit and Assessment:
- Evaluate and monitor key RCM metrics including collection rates, adjustments, insurance write-offs, aging claims, and credits. Identify areas of concern pre-close and provide “Diagnostic Onboarding Plan” post-close.
- Identify process inefficiencies and inaccuracies through observations and feedback from Doctors, Practice Managers, and staff.
- Collaborate with revenue cycle leadership and practice managers to identify training needs, gaps, and areas of improvement for RCM functions including Insurance Verification, Claim Submission, Payment Posting, Aging Claims, Patient AR collections, and adjustments.
- Design and develop course curriculum for presentations, manuals, and online resources that align with Dentive’s revenue cycle processes and policies.
- Collaborate to continuously refine and improve revenue cycle workflows and integrate these improvements into training materials.
- Participate in and conduct training sessions for new hires and existing staff.
- Utilize a variety of training methods such as e-learning modules, Dentive Download updates, workshops, and on-site one-on-one programs.
- Ensure that the training content is up-to-date and reflects the latest industry regulations, technological advancements, and best practices.
- Provide consistent and constructive feedback to individuals and teams to help enhance their revenue cycle skills.
- Generate reports to monitor training effectiveness, trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Five years or more of Dental industry experience
- Excellent relationship and rapport building experience
- Knowledge of Insurance industry trends and patient resources; dental coding; claim processing; fee schedules
- Experienced in managing and processing insurance related reports and systems
- Various Practice Manage Software
- General knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, dependability, and promptness
- Ability to use sound judgement, demonstrate independent thinking, and provide recommendations
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
- Employees must exert up to 30 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity, far acuity, depth perception, accommodation, color vision, and field of vision.
