Description

The Human Resources Generalist is involved with the full life cycle of an employee at BRSi, including talent acquisition, positively influencing the company culture, providing resources about employee benefits and leaves, and assisting with the process of termination of employment, as needed.

  • Promote a positive work culture by supporting the HR team and company leadership, being a positive influence and role model for employees, and portraying the values of the company.
  • Carry out all required tasks relating to employee sourcing and recruitment and new hire/transfer processing, including but not limited to:
    • Coordination and posting of openings, diversity recruitment strategies, applicant tracking, screening candidates.
    • Scheduling interviews, making offers, preparing offer letters, background checks, pre-hire documentation requirements, and access requests.
    • Generally, acting as a responsive and competent HR professional with the hiring manager to facilitate fast, quality, and policy-complaint on-boarding of employees as needed to meet company objectives.
  • Conduct new hire orientation.
  • Set up and maintain all electronic and/or paper employee files.
  • Assist with benefit open enrollment process and general benefit questions.
  • Represent the company by coordinating responses to unemployment claims and participating in hearings; schedules managers to attend hearings as needed.
  • Administers FML and ADA programs; processes applicable paperwork and disability claims if needed.
  • Coordinate exit process when an employee leaves the company.
  • HRIS Management including generating reports as necessary.
  • Ensure company is in compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Supports the administration of the Affirmative Action Program; assists with the completion of the EEO-01 required filings; maintain records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
  • Process and provide reports to management as requested.
Requirements

  • Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills (both written and oral) to effectively support and represent the HR department.
  • Ability to multi-task and demonstrate superior prioritization skills, work well under pressure in the team’s fast-paced environment, and maintain a good perspective regarding the larger picture/impact.
  • Exercise discretion and good judgment daily, particularly when handling confidential and/or sensitive employee information.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within HR and other departments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or business, and PHR certification preferred.
  • 2-3 years minimum experience in a similar position
  • Recruiting experience
  • HRIS experience
