Position Introduction/Key Duties

Cimarron is seeking a junior-level Project Manager to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in the Colorado Springs, CO area.

Key Duties

  • Manage projects throughout the entire lifecycle to ensure successful completion on time, within budget, and within scope.
  • Oversee project initiation activities, including bid processes, estimating, and proposal coordination.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams to meet project requirements and objectives.
  • Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation and resolution strategies.
  • Track and report on project budgets using earned value management techniques.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and customers.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to upper management and customers.
  • Manage the impacts of change requests, including negotiating timelines and deliverables.
  • Create, organize, and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules.


Required/Desired Skills, Experience, And Education

Required Skills, Experience, and Education :

  • Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at the time.
  • This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire.   • Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance within a reasonable timeframe.
  • 6 or more months of project management experience.
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management.


Desired Skills, Experience, And Education

  • Experience leading facility upgrade projects.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Experience reading blueprints and design plans.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project.
