Nuclear Medicine Physician

Join us as a Nuclear Medicine Physician at the Lexington VA Medical Center located in Lexington, KY.

Duties Include

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including:
• PET scans including:
• Neurology
• Oncology
• PSMA & NET Imaging
• Infection & Cardiac
• SPECT scans
• Planar & Dynamic scans
• Neurology
• Cardiology
• Endocrine
• Gastrointestinal
• Oncology
• Skeletal
• Tumor/infection
• Pulmonary
• Central Nervous System
• Genitourinary
• Radioscopic Therapy:
• I-131 Ablation & Hyperthyroid
• Xofigo
• Pluvicto
• Lutathera
• Clinical supervision of Nuclear Medicine Technologists.
• Utilize GE Optima SPECT/CT and GE Discovery PET/CT.
  
  

Schedule: Full-time, 8A-4:30P M-F. No call, weekends, or federal holidays.

Period of Performance: Start date as soon as available through 3/31/2026 w/ one 6-month extension available.

Qualifications

• Education. Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree.
• Board Certification. All contractor’s physician(s) shall be Board Certified per the American Board of Radiology (http://www.theabr.org/).
• Licensure and certification. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. BLS, ACLS, DEA, and NPI required.
• Experience. Must be capable of demonstrating technical proficiency.
• English Language Proficiency: In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(f), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English.
• Subject to background/security investigation.
• Must pass TB test.
• Complete an online onboarding process.
• Willingness to comply with Department of Veterans Affairs vaccination programs for seasonal influenza and COVID-19.
• Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

Our clients include the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), the Department of Labor, the Department of Defense, and more. Our provider network consists of over 700 providers in various medical specialties and degree types. They conduct diagnostic-only examination services on an as-needed basis. These services may take place in their private office, established clinics located across the country, or during travel opportunities for group screening events.
