About The Role

Elephante is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Receiver to join our back-of-house team. This role is essential to maintaining the quality, accuracy, and organization of all incoming deliveries and inventory. The ideal candidate has previous experience in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment and takes pride in keeping spaces clean, orderly, and well-stocked.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and store all incoming deliveries accurately and efficiently
• Verify contents of deliveries against purchase orders and report discrepancies
• Communicate product needs or issues to the purchaser and kitchen leadership
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the receiving area, kitchen, and storage areas
• Ensure all food handling and sanitation guidelines are met in accordance with health department regulations
• Perform opening and closing receiving duties, including setting up and sanitizing workstations
• Accurately document and report breakages, shortages, or damaged goods
• Support kitchen and management teams with inventory tracking and restocking as needed
• Attend pre-service meetings, trainings, and department check-ins
  
  

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a receiver, stocker, or similar role in a high-volume operation preferred
• Valid Food Handler Certificate (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Able to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team
• Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays
