As our impressive growth continues across the MidAtlantic, we are currently recruiting for a Charge Entry Specialist for our Midwest Fertility Specialists care center in the Carmel, IN.

Your most important duties include:
You work in a professional office building, typically during daytime business hours, and interact with other employees, patients and insurance companies face to face, over the phone and through email. Most of your day is spent at a desk but will be mentally stimulating with routine and complex assignments that require innovative thinking and need to be completed in a timely fashion. You thrive in team environments with a structured atmosphere and enjoy collaborating with coworkers. Occasionally, you will be required to lift no more than 15 lbs. Your most important duties include:
- Reviewing encounters created by providers to ensure the accuracy and completeness of billing codes and documentation prior to submitting claims for reimbursement by payors.
- Gathering information from outside entities related to services rendered by Axia providers in hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and other ancillary locations.
- Scanning documents and entering charges for out-of-office and in-office ancillary care including, but not limited to, obstetrical deliveries, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures.
- Submitting clean claims to Axia RCM for submission to payers.
- Reworking or augmenting claims as required by clearinghouse or payer rejections and denials via outside vendor
- Reporting performance using established reports.
- Reconciling claims submitted to appointments booked to ensure that all services rendered by Axia providers were documented and submitted for reimbursement.
- Researching, documenting, and communicating payer rules and requirements related to claims and reimbursement to Axia providers and staff.
- Researching and understanding payer denials and rejections and working with Axia providers and staff to implement/revise policies and procedures to resolve the root cause of denials and rejections.
- Training new Billing employees and current coworkers on Axia billing policies and procedures.
- Providing excellent customer service by promptly responding to emails, answering the telephones, and following up on any outstanding concerns in a timely manner.
- Embracing the team work environment and helping with various projects from your coworkers and supervisor.
- At least 4-years of experience in a medical practice or hospital environment.
- A high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED), preferably a degree from a 2 educational institution or certification in medical billing or relevant experience
- Specialized knowledge of Medical Billing, Medical Coding, HIPAA and Insurance/Federal/State rules and regulations
- Mastery of eClinicalWorks (eCW) or similar practice management system
- OB GYN Coding experience preferred
- Ability maintain confidentiality when dealing with secure records
- Reliability and a productive approach to daily work and team
