Job Summary:

Prince George’s County Government provides a dynamic and inclusive workplace, and they are seeking a Systems Analyst III to support and enhance the County's HR IT systems. The role involves analyzing, designing, implementing, and maintaining various systems and applications to meet the operational needs of the County Government.


Responsibilities:

• Evaluate existing systems and applications to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements.

• Design and develop comprehensive system solutions to meet business needs.

• Install and configure software applications, ensuring compatibility with existing systems.

• Integrate new technologies or systems with existing infrastructure.

• Conduct testing and troubleshooting to ensure seamless implementation.

• Provide technical support for end-users, addressing system related issues and inquiries.

• Act as the OHRM IT Security Access Admin.

• Monitor system performance, conduct routine maintenance, and implement necessary upgrades.

• Create and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and configurations.

• Implement security protocols to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

• Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks.

• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance security measures.

• Performs other duties as assigned, consistent with the specifications for this position, including, specifically attendance at training classes, or alternative career development activities to increase job competencies.


Qualifications:


Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field

• OR graduation from a vocational school plus two (2) years of experience

• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.


Preferred:

• Certifications in CompTIA A+ or Security+

• 5+ years’ experience providing IT Tier I Help Desk support

• 2+ years’ experience in documenting IT system processes and/or workflows

• Demonstrated expertise with HRIS systems, preferably in SAP/NEOGOV

• Information Technology and Human Resources experience in a public sector environment

• Strong knowledge and expert proficiency within Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint

• Strong verbal and written communications skills, as well as interpersonal skills
