2nd Swing is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Scrum Master / QA to join our innovative technology team. This hybrid role is perfect for a leader passionate about Agile methodologies and dedicated to ensuring the highest level of software quality. You will be responsible for guiding a self-organizing development team, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, and removing impediments, while also taking a hands-on role in our quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate will champion Agile principles and foster a culture of continuous improvement, all while ensuring our products meet rigorous quality standards before release. This is a full-time, exempt and in-office position at our corporate office in Eden Prairie, MN.

2nd Swing is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Scrum Master / QA to join our innovative technology team. This hybrid role is perfect for a leader passionate about Agile methodologies and dedicated to ensuring the highest level of software quality. You will be responsible for guiding a self-organizing development team, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, and removing impediments, while also taking a hands-on role in our quality assurance processes. This is a full-time, exempt and in-office position at our corporate office in Eden Prairie, MN.
Responsibilities
Scrum Master Responsibilities: 70%
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Guide and coach the Scrum team on using Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers.
- Act as a servant-leader for the team, fostering a collaborative, trusting, and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame or retribution.
- Identify, track, and help remove impediments or roadblocks for the development team.
- Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency and radiating information.
- Support the Product Owner in maintaining and grooming the product backlog.
- Track and report on key Agile metrics (e.g., team velocity, sprint burndown) to help the team understand its progress and improve its performance.
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases (manual and automated) to ensure software meets business requirements and quality standards.
- Identify, document, and track software defects in our bug tracking system (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Collaborate closely with developers and product owners to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Participate in backlog grooming and sprint planning sessions to provide input on testing scope and effort estimates.
- Advocate for quality throughout the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent certification
- Excellent facilitation, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills
- Proactive problem solver with a leadership mindset
- Familiarity with the golf industry is a bonus
- Minimum of 2 years of Scrum Master experience in a software development environment
- Proven experience working with Agile tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or Rally
- Familiarity with software development technologies and DevOps practices
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation abilities
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a desk in an office environment.
- $79,000 - $110,000 based on previous experience and qualifications.
