This role will play a critical part in maintaining product quality, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with customer and industry standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality assurance procedures, inspection protocols, and control plans.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with internal and customer specifications.
- Perform root cause analysis and lead corrective/preventive action initiatives (CAPA).
- Manage non-conformance reporting (NCR), documentation, and follow-up actions.
- Conduct internal audits and assist in external audits (ISO, customer audits, etc.).
- Utilize quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, PPAP, and control charts to support data-driven decision making.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and inspection teams to resolve quality issues.
- Maintain calibration schedules and ensure measurement equipment accuracy.
- Support first article inspections (FAI) and final product acceptance activities.
- Train employees on quality standards and best practices.
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing or CNC machining environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9001 or AS9100.
- Proficient in using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, CMM, etc.).
- Experience with interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications.
- Familiarity with quality tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, Pareto analysis, and statistical methods.
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
