About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and skilled Physical Therapist to join our growing team at Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering evidence-based care to a diverse patient population with a wide range of orthopedic conditions.
Our patients are primarily working-age adults—from young professionals to individuals in their 60s and 70s—many of whom qualify for Medicaid but do not have employer-sponsored coverage. While we occasionally serve teens, children (ages 9+), and older adults, these cases are less frequent.

Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive evaluations, including goniometry, manual muscle testing, and functional assessments.
Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
Deliver a variety of therapeutic techniques, such as therapeutic exercise, manual therapy (Graston, Dry Needling, MDT, Mulligan), and modalities to reduce pain and restore function.
Educate patients on their condition, treatment goals, and strategies for long-term recovery and injury prevention.
Document treatment progress accurately in Epic Hyperspace, our integrated EMR system.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless, patient-centered care.
Maintain a 1:1 Physical Therapist-to-PTA supervision ratio for continuity of care.
Pursue ongoing professional development, including advanced techniques such as Blood Flow Restriction Therapy.
Requirements
Required:
Active Physical Therapist license in Illinois
Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT preferred)
Preferred:
2+ years of experience in orthopedic settings
Board certification in Orthopedics or Sports Medicine
Experience treating athletes and/or post-surgical patients
Proficiency with Epic Hyperspace EMR
Strong manual therapy skills (Graston, Dry Needling, MDT, Mulligan techniques)
