As a Production Supervisor, you'll lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and quality-driven production. This hands-on leadership role focuses on driving performance, supporting continuous improvement, and fostering a safety-first, team-oriented environment. You will oversee 10+ direct reports and serve as a cross-functional liaison to ensure production targets are met and exceeded.

Compensation for this position is based on skills and experience, salary range from $65,000 – $82,000 annually.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster a Safety Culture: Champion safety initiatives, conduct incident investigations, lead preventive actions, and obtain CPR/First Aid certification.
- Ensure Operational Readiness: Maintain audit-ready standards through proactive safety, sanitation, and equipment utilization practices.
- Drive Team Performance: Supervise employee workflow and productivity using OEE metrics, training plans, coaching feedback, and performance reviews.
- Promote Interdepartmental Collaboration: Build strong working relationships across Production, Quality, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Sanitation.
- Lead Continuous Improvement: Participate in root cause analysis, Lean Six Sigma projects, 5S, and visual management to optimize efficiency.
- Manage Inventory & Resources: Oversee material availability and lead the purchasing process to support continuous production flow.

- Provide Leadership Continuity: Step in during planned/unplanned absences to maintain consistent operational oversight.
- Enforce Schedule Adherence: Align shift activities with production scheduling to ensure timely and complete order fulfillment
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in manufacturing with direct reports
- Proven ability to motivate, mentor, and develop team members
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent English (written & verbal); Spanish is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; SAP experience preferred
- Working knowledge of GMPs and food manufacturing practices
- Lean Six Sigma knowledge required; certification preferred (Yellow or Green Belt)
- Flexible schedule, including availability for occasional weekends
- 75% plant floor, 25% office setting
- Exposure to loud, busy, and temperature-variable conditions (dust, dampness)
- Must wear company-provided PPE at all times
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 100 lbs. with assistance), stair climbing
- Use of touch screen monitors and digital production tools
- Occasional outdoor duties, subject to Rochester weather
