The Association of Former Students engages and inspires the Aggie Network for Texas A&M University in perpetuating the Aggie Spirit. Through our Annual Fund, as well as other revenue streams, we provide scholarships, endowments, emergency student loans, and awards for faculty. Our newest colleague will join our Club Programs team in advancing our mission through assisting with the organization, promotion, coordination, and execution of approximately 250 annual Aggie Muster ceremonies worldwide, ensuring the highest level of service and quality.

THE ROLE
The Club Programs Student Assistant performs data entry and general office duties, speaks with constituents, and ensures timely and professional delivery of services.
Essential Functions Of The Role
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Required: The ability to work 20 hours in the Spring semester (during Muster preparations). Time management, detailed-oriented, with appropriate judgment and problem-solving skills. Reliable, punctual, flexible and willing to assist with a variety of tasks. Strong interpersonal skills that support customer service. Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. Perform work with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality. Strong proof reading, project coordination, organizational and time management skills that support a high functioning, multi-tasking work environment.
Physical Capacity Requirements
This position meets the criteria for medium work and requires the ability to lift and carry objects weighing 26 to 50 pounds on an occasional basis and frequently lift items up to 25 pounds. The position requires standing, walking, bending, reaching for extended periods and sometimes climbing or balancing. May involve moderate physical exertion with tasks that require pushing, pulling, or lifting throughout the workday. Required: None.
Preferred: Previous customer service experience, either as a volunteer or an employee.

Required: Currently enrolled as a student at Texas A&M University in College Station.

THE ROLE
The Club Programs Student Assistant performs data entry and general office duties, speaks with constituents, and ensures timely and professional delivery of services.
Essential Functions Of The Role
- Administrative support
- Interpersonal as well as written and oral communication.
- Follow detailed instructions.
- Time management.
- Work 15 hours per week in the Fall semester and 20 hours per week in the Spring semester.
- Good interpersonal skills along with strong communication skills.
- Pro-active approach to routine duties.
- Meet deadlines.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Communicate in a sensitive manner with constituents.
- Perform administrative duties including document and spreadsheet creation and updates, and correspondence through email and phone, and other tasks that contribute to the smooth functioning of the department.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with former students, Muster Chairs, and Club Presidents via phone, email and in-person.
- Speak and correspond with families of recently deceased Aggies to help them determine the Muster ceremony at which their loved one’s name will be called.
- Assist Muster speakers in accessing appropriate resources.
- Create Muster invitations and send mass emails.
- Prepare Muster Roll Call lists for each organized Muster.
- Perform data entry with high degree of accuracy.
- Assist with coordination and execution of away-game All-Aggie Tailgates, Coach’s Night, and President’s Night.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Participate in various Association-wide activities such as engagement and fundraising goals, internal event teams, task committees, attending gameday receptions, Distinguished Alumni Gala and other external events as required.
- Serve as an ambassador by meeting our Team Expectations, fostering relationships with students and other constituents of Texas A&M.
