As a Construction Observer, you will play a critical role in overseeing the construction phase of projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.

Your Role & Responsibilities
In this role, you will focus on:
- Site Inspections & Monitoring - Conduct regular on-site inspections to ensure construction activities adhere to design specifications, safety regulations, and project schedules.
- Quality Control & Assurance - Verify that all materials, workmanship, and construction processes meet the required standards and specifications.
- Collaboration & Reporting - Work closely with project managers, contractors, and engineers to identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies. Document observations and provide detailed reports on construction progress.
- Safety Oversight - Monitor and enforce safety protocols on-site, ensuring that work environments are compliant with OSHA standards and other relevant safety guidelines.
- Problem-Solving - Proactively address construction issues, including design modifications, delays, or unforeseen site conditions, and offer solutions to keep the project on track.
- Stakeholder Communication - Serve as a liaison between the project team, contractors, and regulatory agencies, ensuring smooth communication and timely resolution of any concerns.
- Education -- You have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Industry Experience -- You have at least 2 to 5 years of experience in roadway or utility infrastructure construction either with an engineering firm or as an employee of a general construction contractor.
- Project and Construction Knowledge -- You have past experience in construction management or observation.
- Technical and Communication Skills -- You have written and oral communication skills, computer skills (Word and Excel). You have the ability to track unit price quantities, read plans, and understand standard specifications.
- Personal Strengths -- You are determined, organized, detail oriented, and customer focused.
- Bonus Skills -- Construction materials laboratory testing experience is a plus.
