What You’ll Do

• Serve as a member of the DBS Leadership Team, helping to lead the company with vision, clarity, and alignment
• Lead, manage, and hold your accounting team (including AR, AP, Payroll, and Purchasing) accountable to DBS’s values and performance standards
• Provide accurate and timely financial analysis and reporting to company owners, ensuring decisions are rooted in data
• Maintain and oversee general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance across all financial systems
• Create and manage job costing by service and location, ensuring profitability and transparency
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow for multiple departments
• Champion software systems and process improvements—procure, maintain, and evaluate tools that drive efficiency
• Set a high standard for internal and external service, delivering “WOW” experiences to team members, vendors, and customers
• Mentor and develop staff while fostering a culture of growth, integrity, and accountability
  
  

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Other Characteristics

• Strong knowledge of business, finance, accounting, payroll, and tax principles
• Experience in accounting management, including performance and team oversight
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Skilled in QuickBooks and other financial software
• Strong math, logic, and analysis capabilities
• Ability to prepare and interpret financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements
• Clear understanding of business, insurance, and financial concepts
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  
  

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience in a leadership or management role
• Or a combination of education and experience demonstrating proven success in this field
• Construction accounting, payroll experience, and CPA certification are highly desired
