Join Our Team as a Payroll Specialist at GSM Services!
Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for accuracy and confidentiality? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where your skills in payroll, organization, and customer service make a real impact? GSM Services is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team and help ensure our coworkers are paid accurately and on time — every time!
What You’ll Do
- Process weekly payroll with precision and timeliness
- Review timesheets and payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure all changes (pay rates, deductions, etc.) are accurately entered into the system
- Run payroll previews and finalize pay runs confidently
- Issue manual payroll checks and reports as needed
- Maintain organized electronic payroll records
- Stay up to date on federal and state payroll laws
- Be the go-to contact for coworkers with payroll-related questions
- Handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity
- Jump in on other duties and projects as needed
- 2–3 years of hands-on payroll processing experience
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with HRIS/HRMS systems
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of accounting principles in a job cost environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A self-starter attitude with a commitment to confidentiality
- Comfort working in a paperless, digital environment
